Our History

A ute, some gear, and a burning ambition.

Originally formed in the 1950s as Alfabs Engineers, the origins of the ‘AE’ ball in our logo.

The company was owned and operated exclusively by the same family since 1986. In 1986, the business consisted of a ute, some gear, a handful of workers and a burning ambition. The success of Alfabs Engineers provided the foundation for the evolution of the Alfabs Group.

Less than 40 years later, we now employ over 300 Alfabs people including apprentices and trainees that live and breathe our ‘People make Alfabs’ ethos. The Alfabs culture speaks to our family origins, promoting a loyal, brave and sustainable approach to our work.
